Sustainability

The Hampton Library has recently begun the Sustainable Library Initiative Certification process, which is a multi-step program designed to help libraries strive for greater commitment to environmental stewardship, social equity, and economic feasibility.

It is our hope to complete this certification by Fall of 2026. To this end, our Board of Trustees has recently adopted a Hampton Library Sustainability Policy to help guide us through this process. We will keep this page updated to share our progress!
