Find a Book, Movie and More....

From The Director's Desk

As the holiday season approaches, it seems the perfect time to express gratitude to you, the
Bridgehampton and Sagaponack communities, for your overwhelming support of our library. By
passing our 2023 Operating Budget by 97%, you have enabled us to continue providing
everything the library has to offer: from story times to Minecraft, e-waste recycling to writing
workshops, computer and language classes to guest authors, and as always, our expertly curated
book collections.
Thanks also to the businesses on Main Street who supported our Halloween Parade by handing
out lots of treats to our very excited, and adorably costumed, local children. We appreciate the
Bridgehampton Museum’s spooky participation during this event, as well. We’re eager for more
collaborations with our neighbors. Please stop by with your ideas!
Our doors are open seven days a week, and our friendly, knowledgeable staff are always here to
assist you. As the weather turns colder, don’t forget that our online services are available 24/7.
Stream a movie on Hoopla, get an e-book in an instant on Libby, browse a magazine on Flipster,
find a trustworthy answer to a question from our premier online databases, take a free online
course on LinkedIn, or get customized recommendations from our reference librarians through
our website chat or email.
Everyone is invited to our Annual Holiday Open House and Tree Lighting on Saturday,
December 3rd from 2:30 to 4:30pm, with music by the Bridgehampton School band and a visit
from Santa (with a little help from the Bridgehampton Lions Club.) Thanks to our friends at
South Fork Bakers for baking delicious treats, Starbucks for providing hot chocolate, and
Mahoney & Associates for donating a tree. Our children’s librarians will be reading stories aloud
in the spirit of Lemony Snicket, who declared, “The holiday season is a time for storytelling!”

Warmest wishes for a healthy and happy New Year,
